Ira Black, 95, longtime resident of Sulphur Springs, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016. He is survived by a son, Dr. David Black, his wife Pam, daughters Kaylene Black and Kaytlin Black Hodges and husband Ryan, all of Sulphur Springs. SSHS Track Teams Ahead of Last Year’s Pace
The Lady Cats Track Team finished second in the girls division and the Wildcats finished fifth in the boys division at their Sulphur Springs Meet Friday night. Fundraiser 5K and 10K for Paint the Town Work Camp
A fundraiser 5K and 10K Run is planned for Saturday March 5 to benefit Sulphur Springs Paint the Town Work Camp. The run will begin at 8am from Buford Park. Walkers, strollers and joggers are also welcome! Money is being raised for the expenses of Sulphur Springs Work Camp, a youth volunteer event that paints houses for elderly and others in the community.
