Early Voting For Sulphur Springs City and Yantis ISD Begins Monday
Early voting in the Sulphur Spring City Council election and Yantis ISD board of trustee election begins Monday, April 25th and continues through May 3. Other schools and cities in the area that will conduct elections this year are planning for November voting. North Hopkins boys finished 14th at the Class 2A State Cross Country Meet Saturday. Their top finisher was Javier Rojo who came in 30th place.

Smiddy, McPherson Elected to NHISD Board; Propositions Favored
North Hopkins ISD voters elected Sherry Smiddy and Robert McPherson to the school board Tuesday. The two received the most votes in the three person race. Smiddy received 120 votes. McPherson received 103 votes. The third, Justin Holland received 74 votes. County voters overwhelmingly approved all seven (7) Propositions placed before Texas voters.
